Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers must give patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including chiropractic care.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services, including related costs like exams and treatments.
What you can expect from us
- You can ask Family First Chiropractic for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time.
- If you schedule a service at least three business days in advance, we will provide a written Good Faith Estimate within one business day of scheduling.
- If you schedule at least ten business days in advance, we will provide the estimate within three business days.
- Make sure to save a copy or take a picture of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
If your bill is higher than your estimate
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate for any provider, you may be able to dispute the bill. Keep your estimate in a safe place so you can compare it to any bills you receive.
